Small Update for 2026

There has been a bit of a gap between my last post and today. Last year I was heads down on a project that was both intense and rewarding. It left little room for writing. But that's now wrapped up and I'm back.

So this is a quick update for 2026. I have a few projects in the works.

First is this blog. I have given it a little spruce up for 2026. Fixed a few bugs, optimised some delivery mechanisms, and gave it a fresh coat of paint. It's still the same AWS Lambda Leptos blog under the hood, with one minor adjustment: SCSS instead of Tailwind. An RSS (Atom) feed has been added to the header as well, so feel free to add it to your reader of choice.

Next up, I'll have a post coming out soon around my homelab. For work I build cloud-native solutions for big data problems. I've been building custom machines since I was 5, and that's since bled into a homelab. I still build custom, and that's bled into a homelab. Should be a fun article.

Finally, at the end of 2024/start of 2025 I started an AI project that's making headway (at least V3 is). This should see a public FOSS first release soon, and I'll post an article about it here too. The focus is to solve real-world problems I have on a day-to-day basis without overcomplicating things. Lean on the side of less is more, rather than other solutions that let LLM's do everything. Customer one is myself, but if anyone else gets value from it, that would be incredible. First post should be landing shortly.
